Steppin' Out, Dennis and Brenda a two piece duo worked together as professional musicians from the mid 1970's, working in several larger bands before breaking off into Steppin' Out in the 1980's. They worked extensively in and around the Houston, Clear Lake and Galveston, Texas area.

In 1987 they were offered the house band position at The Renaissance PineIsle Resort Hotel just outside of Atlanta Georgia on Lake Lanier Islands. They worked there for 17 years and on January 1st, 2005 they moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas to be close to their family. They worked various country clubs, private parties and weddings after moving to Fort Smith for several years while establishing their recording studio business. They are now retired from performing live but still record background vocals and build music tracks for other music artists in their recording studio.

Dennis currently owns and operates SmithTrax Recording Studio and has since the 1980's. He is connected to the music industry recording bands, creating soundtracks and recording individual singers. He also builds custom websites for individuals and businesses. He also transfers cassette tapes and puts them on CD's as well as transferring old VHS tapes to DVD's. Brenda was a full time Social Services Director for a local nursing home in Fort Smith retiring September 2022. She wrote and recorded a Christian album December 2011 and occasionally sings at churches and other venues when asked and is a regular soloist at her local church on Sundays… She now devotes her full time attention to the recording studio and to family..
